[Description]

夏にウールの服が良いというのは、もう常識かもしれません。

いわゆるサマーウールと呼ばれるこの生地は暑い夏に最適な素材の一つです。
ウールは水蒸気吸収率が高いことから汗による蒸れを防ぎ、髪の毛のキューティクルにあたるスケールと呼ばれる構造由来の撥水性、水分の発散性があることから表面がサラサラな状態が続きます。

昨今の猛烈な夏の暑さに対して何の素材を着ると涼しい、−1~2℃下がるというような温度変化にまつわる機能は効果を実感しにくいですが、汗による不快感を無くすという機能は恩恵がとても大きいと思います。

上記の撥水性に加え水分保有率の高さゆえの静電気の起こりづらさからホコリなどが付きにくいため、汚れにくいですし、弾力性もかなり高いためシワになりにくく、なっても容易に解消できます。

防縮加工をしているためご自宅でのお洗濯も可能と扱いやすさもポイントです。

この生地においては玉虫色の特徴などにフォーカスしてしまう場合が多いですが、実はウールには上記のような夏に洋服を着る上での問題をかなり網羅的に解決してしまう機能を持つため、itochiではこれを夏に最適な素材と考えます。

尾州毛織物の名門、「葛利毛織株式会社」
旧式のションヘル織機で時間をかけ丁寧に織り上げたキッドモヘア混のトロピカル生地を使用したシャツです。
タテ糸とヨコ糸が反対色同士のため玉虫色で、見る角度によりグレー系やブルー系など表情が変化します。

ラグランスリーブながらスポーティにならないよう、ミニマルなステッチワークなど全体的にコンテンポラリーな雰囲気に仕上げています。肘まで隠す袖口の広いハーフスリーブは通した身体を美しく見せるバランスです。
